Renegade, Amy 2021

One of the coolest wineries going, Renegade have been producing wine in the heart of East London since 2016. Making everything from your classics to the more avant-garde, Renegade put a real emphasis on the most important part of wine: the people. Each label shows the eyes of a different person who lives in the UK who each forms a key part of the rich tapestry that makes our island so special. Amy 2021 is made from 100% Chardonnay from the region of Lombardy in Italy, where the grapes were harvested and then transported back to London where the wine was made. Think Burgundy with a London twist. One for those who like the classics but appreciate things move with the times. The wine was fermented in oak which lends a creaminess to the palate with a lovely mouthfeel; still the wine maintains a freshness and minerality that strikes a gorgeous balance with ripe stone and orchard fruit flavours.
